Silent Night

One last post on Christmas Day for you, a short collection of carols from the place where Silent Night began.  I'm told it was 200 years ago this week that Silent Night was first written and performed.  It may not be one of the newest carols, but it's certainly one of the most durable.  This small record comes to us from a company that makes plastic molding and extrusion equipment.  I guess you can be a large multinational corporation, and still celebrate Christmas, or at least you could back in 1975.  This is Schuelerchor Der Hauptschule Kirchdorf (Children's Choir Of Micheldorf And Kirchdorf, Austria)-Carols From The Land Of "Silent Night" (Cincinatti Milacron 7" 33 RPM 583-1, Stereo, 1975). This small record was in a large folder that opened up to show the story of the carol.  There's scans of the whole thing in the download.  Enjoy!

1. Stille Nacht, Heilige Nacht (Silent Night, Holy Night)
2. Still, Still, Still (Hush, Hush, Hush)
3. Grunet Felder (Be Green Ye Fields)
