Green Rheims

Continuing on with Robert Rheims, this is the better of the two albums he made in my humble opinion.  I say that because it features a chorus, and they do a pretty good job with the many medleys here.  This one is on his own Rheims Records label, with a credit to Liberty.  I don't remember seeing any earlier version, but I could just not be thinking of them at the moment.  This one doesn't seem to be as widely distributed as the earlier one, and is more frequently found in black vinyl than the pretty emerald green you see here.  But there are still lots of colored vinyl versions out there, so it's not at all rare.  Well worth the download this time, since it sounds great in stereo.  This is The Robert Rheims Choraliers-Director: Robert Rheims-We Wish You A Merry Christmas (Rheims Records ST 7708 (Transparent Green Vinyl), Stereo, 1962).

1. We Wish You A Merry Christmas; Deck The Hall; It Came Upon A Midnight Clear
2. Angels We Have Heard On High; God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen
3. Away In A Manger; Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
4. Shepherds Shake Off Your Drowsy Sleep; Silent Night
5. While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks; I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day
6. The Christmas Chimes Are Pealing; Here We Come A-Caroling
7. Joy To The World; O Little Town Of Bethlehem
8. The First Noel; I Saw Three Ships
9. What Child Is This?; O Come All Ye Faithful
10. We Three Kings Of Orient Are; Coventry Carol
11. Bring A Torch, Jeanette Isabella; Bells Of Christmas
12. O Holy Night; We Wish You A Merry Christmas
