Finally, something new for you today. It's easy to do remasters because I already have the records, but I have to stop sometimes and make sure I have something new to share. We've had a couple of dolls already today and now it's time for a puppet in the form of a fellow named Shotgun Red. Some of you may be old enough to remember the TV show that he and Ralph Emery had on one of those country music networks back in the 80s. It turns out that they released at least two Christmas albums together and I've got one of them for you now. I'm still looking for the other one, these things take time. Be sure you scroll on down because I've got a little bonus for you here and I don't want you to miss it. This is Ralph Emery & Shotgun Red-Christmas Together (Blossom Gap NR15710, Stereo, 1984). Fun stuff!

1. Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town
2. Frosty The Snow Man
3. Jingle Bells
4. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
5. Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
6. Winter Wonderland
7. Nuttin' For Christmas
8. The Twelve Days Of Christmas
9. Jingle Bell Rock
10. Twas The Night Before Christmas

And as promised, I've got a bonus single here for you. For many years before he teamed up with Red, Ralph Emery was a popular county DJ, hosting many radio programs for decades before moving to TV. And he was also a recording star for at least this one Christmas single. Not that he sings, but he does a fine job on a couple of classic Christmas tunes in classic recitation style. This is Ralph Emery with Music By Harold Bradley-Christmas Can't Be Far Away b/w Christmas Dinner (Liberty 7" 45 RPM 55524, Mono, 1962).
